2. A Healthy Community -- ACAP’s kids are ready to be a success in school. Kids that succeed in Kindergarten are more likely to stay in school and be a success in later life. And, parents are able to work and be an economically contributing part of the community. ACAP is working hard to continue to provide needed special support and services for children and parents in our care. Government funding cutbacks have reduced our ability to provide that help. We must depend on generosity of the local philanthropic community to continue to provide those services. The child that gets a good social, emotional and cognitive foundation between birth and 6 years is prepared for a successful adult life.
